Ergo Therapy Group

Physiotherapy in Melbourne

In-home and mobile physiotherapy for children and adults across Melbourne, coordinated with your occupational therapy so everyone works towards the same goals.

In-Home and Mobile Physiotherapy across Melbourne

Ergo Therapy Group now offers physiotherapy alongside our occupational therapy. Physiotherapy sessions are delivered by physiotherapists from our partner practice, Glowing Therapy, and can take place at home, at school or childcare, in the community or in a clinic, depending on your needs and location.

You can make one enquiry with us for both services. Our intake team will talk through what you need, connect you with a physiotherapist and keep your occupational therapist and physiotherapist working towards the same goals.

What Physiotherapy Can Help With

Your physiotherapist will assess your movement, strength and mobility and discuss a suitable approach with you. Common reasons people ask about physio include:

  • Strength, balance and coordination for everyday activities at home, school and in the community
  • Mobility and getting around - walking, transfers, stairs and moving safely around the home
  • Pain or stiffness that is making daily tasks harder
  • Children's movement and motor development, from babies through to teenagers
  • Equipment - assessment and recommendations for mobility aids and other assistive equipment
  • Carer and family training so the people around you can support your program between sessions

Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Together

Physiotherapy focuses on movement, strength, balance and physical function. Occupational therapy focuses on the everyday activities you want or need to do, and the equipment, strategies and home set-up that make them easier. Many people benefit from both. For example, a physiotherapist might work on balance and walking while your OT looks at home modifications and assistive technology such as grab rails or a shower chair.

Physio can sit alongside our paediatric occupational therapy, in-home OT for older adults and activities of daily living support, so therapy fits together rather than being booked and managed separately.

Funding for Physiotherapy

We take physiotherapy enquiries from:

  • NDIS participants (self-managed, plan-managed and agency-managed)
  • Older people with Support at Home or other aged care funding
  • TAC and WorkCover clients
  • Medicare clients with a GP chronic condition management plan
  • Private clients

What is covered depends on your plan, scheme and goals. Our team will confirm the funding, fees and any travel costs with you before your first appointment.

Where We Offer Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is available across Melbourne, including the north, east, west, south and south-east. Coverage depends on your address and therapist availability, so our team will confirm it when you enquire. Physiotherapy is not currently available through Ergo Therapy Group in Western Sydney.
